Itt tech comericals

After watching a couple of Itt tech commericals i noticed something interesting, not only were all the people who were in the commericals male, the colors in these videos are always very bright. After seeing a couple more, i noticed a trend, they usually always showed these men with their cars, with dirt bikes, in a nice house, or at the carnival with their kids. It's like they are trying to say that these men make a lot more money now that they went to this college..and also that the college is bright, happy, and easy.
The questions i also would like to know is
-Are they trying to guilt men? One comical watched (not the one here but another one) had a man with a baby saying something to the effect that he knew this was best for his family..it's like there saying if the guys don't go to Itt tech they will be losers, or won't be able to make money or something.
-I also wonder what kind of message they are trying to send considering none of the commericals I have seen have feature a women as someone who has graduated. They usually show the women next to the man, holding him, or taking care of their child.

Video reference note: this isn't the best quality, but it's the only one i could find that shows what I'm talking about.

i think you are quite bold in your assumption but a little off the mark.

you stated that the images are always bright and cheery and that it seems as if ITT Tech was easy. If you watched the commercial without audio this might actually be the opinion you got of the school and graduates, but alas the T.V. does have sound.

If you listen closely they actually say the transition was generally tough at first but they kept on trucking and finished.

You might be correct however about the lack of females speaking but there are images of female graduates doing school work and graduating.

I've noticed a lack of females as well, unless shown in very domestic roles. But at the same time, maybe those families are just the target audience so the producers of the commercials don't put much thought toward attracting other kinds of people to the school.

I thought this was a little interesting...I never really noticed that they don't show women...I wonder why?? I think that once we make ourselves analyze things like this it's hard to look at it and not analyze it...sometimes i wonder if we analyze too much...

To Derek: That is true, it does say that. Perhaps the color are suppose to imply a "happily ever after feeling" after you've gone to this school or something..there just seems to be something there with the bright colors and the intentially scenes of "fun" in these commericals?

To Meagan-Perhaps so, for this particlar thing, i could be looking at it from to much of a "critcal eye."
